NOW/LEO for Mid-Range Engines
Goals of the Program
National Overhaul Warranty (NOW)/ Local Extended Overhaul Program for Midrange Engines is a Service Marketing Program which
provides an opportunity for NOW/LEO-authorized service locations to grow Genuine Cummins Parts and Service sales. Its basic
philosophy is to minimize the customer's cost of ownership by the optimal reuse of parts during an overhaul.
This program already exists today for Heavy Duty Engines. By extending this program to Midrange Engines (C8.3, ISC, QSC, C
Gas Plus, ISL, QSL and ISL G engines we aim to increase the number of overhauls performed in the genuine channel by offering
customers an array of warranties coverage periods (1 year to 3 years) on all inspected and replaced parts during an overhaul
(rather than the usual 6 months on just the replaced parts). With this program again we can target those customers who want
more options than a ReCon Engine. The customer will get national coverage and it will also increase the value of his equipment.
Target Markets
Both on-highway and off-highway applications are targeted, with the exception logging, marine and snowgroomers. Engines built
since 1995 till date are covered. The program is currently available only in the United States and Canada at Distributors
and Dealers with authorized technicians.
Guidelines
NOW/LEO includes a complete teardown and inspection of key components so that the correct reuse/replacement decisions are
made. Only Genuine Cummins New and ReCon parts are used as replacement components during the overhaul.
Cummins trained and certified technicians perform the work and customers get a nationwide warranty that's good for minimum
of 1 year or 50,000 miles (80,468 km) or 1,000 hours up to 3 years or 150,000 miles (241,402 km) or 3,000 hours. The warranty
is transferable to the next owner at no charge and there are no deductibles. While a NOW/LEO-certified Cummins distributor
or dealer can only perform overhauls, warranty repairs can be performed by any authorized Cummins dealer or distributor repair
location.

The coverage is for a minimum of 1 year or 50,000 miles (80,468 km) or 1,000 hours up to 3 years or 150,000 miles (241,402
km) or 3,000 hours on installed parts, inspected parts, and workmanship related to the covered parts.

For All Applications With C8.3, ISC, QSC, C Gas Plus, ISL, QSL and ISL G engines Except Transit Bus, Logging, Marine and Snow

Coverage ranges from 1 year or 50,000 miles (80,468 km) or 1,000, 2 years, 100,000 miles, 160,935 kilometers or 2,000 hours
or 3 years or 150,000 miles (241,402 km) or 3,000 whichever occurs first after the coverage start date.

or 3 years or 150,000 miles (241,402 km) or 3,000 whichever occurs first after the coverage start date.

Summary
This is a great time to increase overhaul parts and labor sales by promoting the Local Extend Overhaul Program (LEO) program
for MR engines. C8.3, ISC, QSC, C Gas Plus, ISL, QSL and ISL G are eligible for NOW/LEO coverage, and it's a great time to
promote the program benefits. Trade cycles are being extended, truck utilization is up, used truck prices are increasing,
and there are several overhaul programs currently running that offer customers special pricing on parts. LEO is a Distributor
led program and dealer participation is at the Distributors discretion please contract
